Count down to Confetti-day 1

Let the excitement begin! I have been waiting for this day to arrive for a few weeks now. It's time for the next Reverse Confetti release and the new products are totally going to steal your  heart! The fun starts today with day one of our Countdown to Confetti. I have two cards today showing off two awesome stamp sets and coordinating Confetti Cut dies, and a few other goodies thrown in. Remember all the new products will be available on July 8!

You have a couple chances to win some prizes, too! Who doesn't love a give away? All you need to do is leave comments on the DT blogs during the next 3 days. You also have a chance to win over on Facebook. Just pop on by the RC Facebook page and leave a comment there. Jen is giving away 2 gift certificates to the Reverse Confetti shop. All the details are on the Reverse Confetti Blog

The first set I have to share just might be my favorite!  It's called Later Alligator. Once again, there are coordinating Later Alligator Confetti Cut dies. Love that!  I have had a love affair with gators for a long time, so I was beyond giddy when I opened up this set. It's A-dorable!

I stamped the gator in Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with my Copics. I then did a quick and easy Copic technique to add some texture to my gator. Check out how to do it below.

Adding texture with Copic Various Ink

1. Color up your image as you would like.

2. Add some Copic Various ink to an old rag. Give it a good soaking.

3. Quickly dab the ink soaked rag to your colored image. Use a quick dabbing motion over the areas you want to have texture.

4. Set your image aside to dry.

Ok, so back to the rest of the card details. How fun is the fringed "grassy" edge I added. It was easy to do with the Tassel Confetti Cut. I snipped the ends off and adhered them down. I stamped the sentiment from Later Alligator on a Stitched Flag Trio.  I added the birthday cake image from the stamp set and added some sweet little white polka dots with a white gel pen. Oh, I don't want to forget about the newest Quick Card Panels: Weather or Dot {& Stripes}. As always, super cool patterns and great colors!

I have another card to share using the Later Alligator stamp set and Later Alligator Confetti Cut. It was a perfect addition to the new Weather It Together stamp set.

There are so many fabulous weather related images and as well as some fun sentiments in the Weather It Together stamp set. I used one of the Quick Card Panels: Weather or Dot {& Stripes}  for my main image panel. I stamped the sentiment at the top of the panel and added some stamped and die cut clouds from Weather it Together. I love how easy those panels are to work with, creating fast and easy cards.

Don't forget to leave comments at the DT Blogs.
Head on over to the RC Blog for all the release details.

Thanks for stopping by today! See you back here tomorrow.
